Dear baseball and softball friends.
Year 2026 is very important for Pony League, because organization celebrates 75 years.
European presence of Pony League started late nineties at Great Britain. Since the beginning, winners were invited to join World Series and represent European baseball. In 2001 European Zone Qualifying Tournament was shifted to Czech Republic, started with category Colt (16U) and then followed by Pony (14U), both boys’ baseball, few years later with girls’ softball, category Colt.
Due to continuing effort of Pony League to support European youth baseball and softball growth, other categories were organized, including Palomino (U18) at Stuttgart since 2018.
In few years, Stuttgart Reds increased organizational level to very, very high level and this fact was followed by increasing interest and participation of European baseball teams.
Softball girls Palomino started to play their qualifier in 2024 and winning teams already joined Pony League WS.
Another big addition to Palomino tournament at Stuttgart was successful construction of outstanding stadium.
On behalf of Pony League and Pony League Europe we are pleased to continue cooperation with Stuttgart Reds and wish all the teams great tournament. And Pony League will be pleased to welcome Palomino European Zone tournament winners at World Series 2026.
Besides of the teams and coaches, I would like personally thank to all organizers, umpires, scorers, field maintenance and all other volunteers, which make Palomino European Zone Qualifier such great event. The tournament is important part of common effort to growth our lovely sports, baseball and softball.
