Unfortunately, after a couple of cancellations, only 6 teams registered for the tournament - which raises chances for qualification to the World Series tournament for each of the remaining teams. The winner of this European tournament qualifies for the World Series tournament in the USA this summer.
In addition to the above schedule, the teams have the possibility to use the batting cage next to the field according to the following time plan:
Visitor team: game time - 2h30 until game time - 1h30
Home team: game time - 1h30 until game time - 0h30
Visitor team: game time - 2h30 until game time - 1h30
Home team: game time - 1h30 until game time - 0h30
Lineup Cards and the Pitcher eligibility sheet for each game must be handed to the official scorers at their booth 0,5hrs before game time the latest. blank lineup cards will be supplied by the tournament organisation. If additional cards are needed, please ask the scorers.
Pre-game routine is allowed on the field according to the rulebook but only if there is sufficient time before the next game. The remaining time before the next game must be shared 50% / 50% between both teams playing the next game.
The field must be left for preparation in a timely manner and teams shall be ready to play according to the given schedule.
Between game 3 and game 4 on Wednesday May 1st, there will be the opening ceremony together with the Softball teams. All teams are asked to present themselves for the ceremony in team Jersey on the Baseball field. Don't be afraid, the next game does not start without being well prepared.
On Friday night, starting 18h, there will be a joint BBQ aside the field, together with all teams, Baseball and Softball.
Furthermore, lunch will be provided if pre-ordered from the teams. Milena Sernatinger will take the orders and inform you about the proecdure, what will be served, the timing and payment: +49 172 6322066 (WhatsApp)
Dinner and food at different hours will be served at the field against payment - we are happy to accept bank card payments!
The awards Ceremony will take place on the Baseball field just shortly after the ending of the last game. Please, all teams shall be present.
All teams must fill in the attached XLS team roster, including the team manager's mobile phone number so we can reach the manager throughout the tournament for any reason. The filled Team roster must be sent to palomino@stuttgart-reds.de until April 20th the latest.
Please note, a maximum of 18 players is allowed and maximum 3 players league age 19!!!
Changes and additions to the roster can be made until the first "play ball" of referred team's first game in the tournament.
Please don't forget to add the correct date of birth, passport number and league age according to the PONY league age chart.
Don't worry, the passport and personal data will be seen by myself only and not be given to anyone and deleted after the tournament ending.
For the age and passport check, please report to the tournament director (André Fink) upon arrival to the field. I will check passports BEFORE THE TEAM's FIRST GAME . Therefor, all players must be present with their passport / ID or equivalent at hand, I will call them in the order they are listed on the roster sheet and quickly be checked.
If you are well organized, this takes 5 minutes.
As only 6 teams will participate in the tournament and teams may arrive at different, times, there will be no technical meeting before the tournament. Most teams know the procedure anyway. I will send further information regarding organisation of the tournament beforehand and give you all the information you need. You simply need to be focussed on playing your games.
Game Balls, LinupCards, (WBSC)-Umpires and scorers are provided - their decisions shall be respected. For every game an additional Umpire will observe the game and behaviour of teams on and off the field.
In case of dispute, a designated Technical Commissioner of the tournament will take decisions immediately (if the game is interrupted for the decision) or timely before the next game if the decision can wait.
Schedule changes may be necessary due to weather conditions. We will try to play all games of the tournament! If a game has to be cancelled, the priority will be determining the winner of the tournament.
