After having received a cancellation from one team just before the end of the year 2018, finally hosting Baseball Club Stuttgart REDS managed to confirm that all teams are set for the 2019 European Qualifier of PALOMINO 18U age group to be played from May 1st until May 5th.

Besides host Stuttgart REDS (Germany) and last year’s winner Paris University Club (France), participating teams will be National Teams from Poland, Switzerland and Belgium, a select Team Netherlands United Baseball and club teams from Paderborn Untouchables Germany and London Mets from Great Britain.

After a great success in their first edition of 2018’s tournament, PONY organization announced in their October meeting that they will expand the PALOMINO World Series from an 8 team event to a 10 team event, thus making room for a spot for the winner of the 2019 edition of this European tournament. “We are very proud, we could convince the deciding committee of PONY about the quality of European Baseball. Thanks to the successful tournament in 2018 and the Netherlands representing Europe during 2018 PONY and COLT World Series so well, PONY board of directors decided positively.” André Fink, PALOMINO tournament chairman from Stuttgart says. “We have had more than twice as many applications for this tournament we can handle, which proves the assumption of Jan Bagin, European Zone director, that the interest in tournaments of the PONY organization and especially for this age group is growing significantly in Europe”

Therefore, in 2019 the tournament is growing from a 6 team 3 days to an 8 team / 5 days tournament with 20 games all in all. Each team will play five 7 inning games throughout the tournament determining the winner for the 2019 PALOMINO World Series to be held in Laredo, Texas in August.
